Sharing One Mother’s Words to her Grieving Children

Mother’s Day typically involves happy celebrations, brunch gatherings, and beautiful flower deliveries. But for many children and adults who are grieving the death of their mother, it can bring a sense of isolation as they cope privately with their grief. Grieving children and adults yearn to see and hear from their mother once more. Many wonder what if I could have one last message from my mom? A WARM Place family recently shared an amazing gift with us that was given to them by their mother before her death. She wrote them a poem, and her family bravely agreed to let us share her words in our blog.

Camille Pierce died of brain cancer on January 11, 2017. She was a daughter, loving wife, and devoted mother to two young boys named Cale and Ceedan. Somehow at the end of her life, Camille realized she might not survive brain cancer, and she wrote this beautiful message to her family and friends. In honor of mothers everywhere and their grieving children, we wanted to share her words with you.
