Children’s Grief Awareness

Children’s Grief Awareness Month is November, and Children’s Grief Awareness Day is November 17th. We encourage you to wear blue on November 17th and be open to having honest conversations about children’s grief. At The WARM Place, we are decorating butterflies in memory of our loved ones and displaying them around our house.

The WARM Place is a proud member of the National Alliance for Children’s Grief (NACG), an organization committed to raising awareness about the needs of grieving children, adolescents, and their families. During Children’s Grief Awareness Month, the NACG is encouraging everyone to “Listen on Repeat” to children who are grieving the death of a loved one. We want to be active listeners and continue to provide a safe space for children to share their stories, experiences, and process their feelings. Make a commitment to “Listen on Repeat.”
