The Heart Behind A Cool Night in Cowtown

“I now understand that facing grief and healing looks different for everyone. There isn’t any set timeline. There isn’t an instruction book on how to deal with sudden loss. What is most important is a strong support system and learning how to process your feelings in your own way. And that it’s ok to admit you’re not ok some days.” Since becoming involved with The WARM Place, Sasha Denman, A Cool Night Co-Chair, has experienced a personal shift in how she views grief. Her event Co-Chair, Lindsay Bloomer, shares “I have realized how important community and peers are when going through grief.  The WARM Place allows children and families to be with others who are experiencing the same thing, express their feelings, and to find hope along their journey.”

For Lindsay and Sasha, their journey with The WARM Place began with a simple invitation from a dear friend and former Cool Night Event Chair Lauren Muckleroy. After facing personal and community losses, both Lindsay and Sasha felt the profound need to support a place that offers such a crucial service. “Fort Worth is so fortunate to have The WARM Place as a local resource!” says Sasha. Lindsay adds, “Seeing how The WARM Place makes such an immediate and important impact right here in the Fort Worth community for grieving children and families—at no cost—is incredibly moving.”

As close friends who already collaborate on PTA events and support numerous local causes, Lindsay and Sasha bring a special energy to planning A Cool Night this year. Their passion, organization, and heart are at the center of it all. Planning an event of this scale is no small feat, but these two have embraced the challenge with enthusiasm and grace.

When asked what they’re most looking forward to about this year’s gala, Sasha shared “This year’s event will be especially fun as it embodies the culture and spirit of Fort Worth—A Cool Night in Cowtown: Where Hope and Healing Begins! I can’t wait to share the mission and impact of The WARM Place while enjoying a night of delicious food, fellowship, and fun.” Lindsay added, “From amazing live and silent auction items to live music and exciting surprises, this event is going to be unforgettable. I’m thrilled it’s back at The Legends Club at TCU—and most of all, I’m excited to raise funds for The WARM Place.”

For those who have never experienced this truly magical evening, it’s more than just an event, it’s a heartfelt celebration filled with laughter, tears, joy, and a deep sense of community. Supporters and sponsors from across the metroplex gather to make a lasting impact, and while The WARM Place is proud to be the host and beneficiary, this night would not be possible without the dedication and hard work of our incredible event committee and Co-Chairs. Thank you Lindsay and Sasha for your unwavering dedication to The WARM Place mission!
