Happy New Year! As we ring in the new year, we are excited to share our many opportunities to volunteer at The WARM Place.
Get involved on our group nights!
We have two ongoing volunteer roles that we are always looking to grow.
- Volunteer Facilitator:
- Responsibilities: Volunteer facilitators act as leaders in our grief support groups Monday-Thursday. Group activities might include drawing, painting, journaling, making crafts, playing games and sharing thoughts or feelings.
- Time Commitment: Every other week from 5:30 pm – 9:30 pm on your designated group night, we ask for a yearlong commitment
- Training: Requires 4 training sessions, we provide training 4x a year
- Our next training opportunity to become a volunteer facilitator starts on February 3rd! Click here to apply today!
- Houseparent Volunteer:
- Responsibilities: Houseparents assist with potluck dinners and help ensure a welcoming atmosphere for children and families
- Time Commitment: Every other week from 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm, you’ll work with the same group on a rotating schedule
- Training: On-the-job training with guidance from experienced houseparents and the volunteer coordinator
Help us at an event!
- To help our families build new positive memories together, we host 6 family nights a year to provide a fun evening for those participating in our program
- We also host three major fundraisers a year! The funds raised at each of these events make our program available to children and families, at no cost to them.
