A PLANTastic Family Night!

Spring has surely sprung at The WARM Place, and that was evident all throughout our April family night event on Friday the 21st! This was the first family night held at The WARM Place in 2023, in the coziness of our parking lot, and all in attendance were thrilled to be surrounded by the welcoming environment of the house.

We truly could not have had better weather, as it was sunny and 72 degrees for the afternoon festivities. The theme was to enjoy a PLANTastic time together, welcoming a new season of warmer weather with a spin on Earth Day being the following weekend.

Children and families created their own succulent terrariums, containing a mixture of stones, soil, pebbles, their choice of succulent and of course fun dinosaurs, animals and garden fairies to add some personality to their plant creation.

Families enjoyed a pizza dinner combined with enough dancing to burn off any calories consumed throughout the evening. Volunteer DJ, Toni Hooten, kept everyone on their feet with her Earth Day tunes, including the Cupid Shuffle and a full-on conga line that stretched the length of the parking lot.

We were so grateful for the families that came out to enjoy the beautiful afternoon at The WARM Place. We hope this is only the start of many more memories made here in 2023 as we expand our program to reach even more children and their loved ones!

Stay tuned for more details of the next family night scheduled for June! Nerd Night – here we come!
