Year-End Giving: Bringing Hope to Grieving Children

As 2025 draws to a close, we find ourselves once again in the midst of the busy holiday season. For many, this is a time of joy and celebration. But for children and families who have experienced the death of a loved one, the holidays can be especially difficult.

At The WARM Place, children are missing a parent, sibling, grandparent, or another special person they wish could still be here to celebrate with them. Thanks to your generosity, The WARM Place has provided comfort and healing during the holidays for over 36 years.

“The WARM Place mended our young son’s broken heart and restored his spirit. From our first meeting, his whole demeanor started to change from sadness to happiness. For the first time he knew he wasn’t alone with his grief.”  – Former WARM Place Parent

You help create a safe space where children can share favorite holiday memories, express how they truly feel, and receive the loving support they need to navigate this season without their loved one by their side.

During this holiday season, 524 children and their families have called The WARM Place their safe place. Your gift ensures that they continue to receive compassionate grief support services at no cost to them.

Make your year-end gift today—and consider tax-smart giving options that can make an even greater impact:

  • Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs): Recommend a grant from your DAF to support The WARM Place.
  • Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs): If you are 70½ or older, you can make a gift directly from your IRA, which may satisfy your required minimum distribution and reduce taxable income.
  • Stock Donations: Giving appreciated securities can provide significant tax advantages while helping grieving children and families.

Your support not only brings hope during the holidays but sustains our mission all year long. Together, we can continue to provide healing and connection to families who need it most.

Thank you for standing with The WARM Place and ensuring that no child grieves alone.
